I’m currently a junior at the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently on leave from the university, as I explore a full-time career in the Dance field.
I have been a company dancer for the Mona Khan Bollywood Dance Company in the SF Bay Area since I was 8 years old. I’ve also trained in Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Ballet at the Teen Dance Company in Mountain View, CA all throughout high school under the direction of Mark Foehringer and Brian Fisher. I have 5 years of teaching experience in Bollywood dance for children from ages 5-12, as well as adults (18+).
My stage experience covers many prestigious shows and festivals including the reality TV competition America’s Got Talent, where our Bollywood team made it to the Top 48. We also performed at the Golden State Warriors game, the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, the Indiaspora Inaugural Ball in Washington DC, and various Bollywood events.
I am currently a dance choreographer for Texas Nach Baliye, UT Austin’s premiere Bollywood college dance team, along with Darzana, an all-male nationwide Bollywood dance team. You will find short videos of my work on Rishi’s Facebook Page.
